This is an online session and will take place over Microsoft Teams
The medical profession has a language of its own and if you are new to healthcare, you will soon realise you will need to speak that language. This online workshop delivered via Teams is aimed at reception and admin staff to enable them to grow in confidence when handling medical correspondence or patients notes.
The session will look at the importance of non-clinical staff learning medical terminology. It will focus on three basic word parts suffixes, prefixes and word roots and how these parts can join to form a medical word. Once you get the hang of how words are made you will have no problem of understanding what those long and often unpronounceable words mean.
There will be a short fun interactive quiz at the end of the session to identify if learning objectives have been reached.
Please note feedback is mandatory and a certificate will not be issued until feedback is complete.
An outlook calendar invite will be sent out after booking and a link will be sent out closer to the time of the session so make sure the email address you have provided is accessed before the session.
If you are booking more than one person on the session you need to ensure an email address is provided for each person
