About this event
Well into spring and everything will be rapidly growing in the hedgerows! Come along and discover herbal remedies and delicious recipes that you can make from foraged flowers and fruits found locally. Whether it is elderflower champagne or, a tasty rhubarb and elderflower jam, the choices are limitless!
You will receive a handout including the remedies discussed and suggest you bring along a pencil and pad to note down any interesting snippets you find out about during the session.
Weather permitting, we will venture outside to look at plants growing in situ and if it is raining, see a slide presentation showing close ups of the plants. It would also be good to bring along your phone so you can take a photo of each plant for future reference and there are a number of plant identification apps that you can use too.
The workshop starts at 10 am and finishes at 2 pm. Herbal refreshments are included and suggest that you bring along something to eat that you may wish to share. We will meet in the meeting room at the back of the Bushey Museum and suggest parking in the car park opposite Rudolph Road on the other side of the high street. The cost is £26 per person including the Eventbrite fee.
