In 2014 the theme of Medicine Unboxed is Frontiers.
We will explore the fact of human life and consciousness within the world of other life and lives; our shared human matter and frailty; the ocean, sky and land; the ground for moral thought; the migrant, outsider and underprivileged; the lines that separate life from death; the flesh and margins of our bodies and minds; the separation between suffering and illness; the interface between the individual and society and the frontier between imagination and fact in our understanding of humanity, illness and medicine.
Speakers at Medicine Unboxed: Frontiers include
Camilla Batmenjelidgh, Sophie de Oliveira Barata, Ali Smith, Richard Horton, Philip Gross, Christopher Potter, William Fiennes, Jackie Kay, Iain McGilchrist, Daljit Nagra, Sarah Moss, Gabriel Weston, Joanna Bourke, William Fiennes, Melanie Pappenheim, Philip Hoare, Tim Dee, Yasmin Gunaratnam, Susan Aldworth, Bob Heath, Iona Heath, Ray Tallis, Jo Shapcott, Deborah Bowman, Tom de Freston and Roger Kneebone.
