About this Event

Why meditation?

One in eight UK employees experience mental health problems in the workplace (source: Mental Health Foundation). We’re well versed in how to look after our physical health but for our mind it's a different story. The solution is to invest in training our brains in the same way we train our bodies.

Meditation is exactly the workout your brain needs to help stave off stress, decrease anxiety and improve resilience, creativity and insight. With regular practice you will literally change how your brain works.

Why Be. Modern Meditation?

At Be. Modern Meditation, we believe that meditation can be simple and fun. Our training makes meditation and mindfulness accessible, attainable and rewarding for all and we have built a community of support that will encourage and inspire you on a lifelong journey with meditation that will transform your experience of life.

Our meditation practices can empower you to connect with a deeper sense of yourself, to redefine what happiness looks like and to change your relationship with your thoughts so that you can experience your life in a new, positive and inspiring way – no matter what that life throws at you.

The session

In this interactive and engaging workshop, we will explore:

- how stress impacts the body and mind and how meditation changes the game

- how to meditate for fidgety sceptics: a modern practice that will work no matter what your life looks like

- how to make it happen in your actual life (the one with no time and lots of overwhelm)

- how meditation can transform how you experience your life

Your support

This workshop is a great start but it’s not the end. To help you develop a meditation practice that works for you, participants will also receive:

- Downloadable recordings of the meditations used – so that you can listen to them at home or whenever, wherever you choose to meditate in future (also on a free app)

- A free 30-minute coaching call to answer any questions and help you address any issues you experience in your meditation practice

- Printable handouts of all the materials used in the workshop to refer to in the future
