Description

It can be a struggle for many people to fit practising meditation into their busy life routines. The course will give you a sense of how meditation philosophy is applicable to each part of your daily life. You will learn more about the potential for meditation we all have within ourselves and how to acknowledge your body through meditation. Everyone can benefit from the course; it can bring you nearer your own beliefs about life. The practice workshop will develop and refine your inner awareness, focussing on both breathing and movement.

The course aim is to bring meditation into our movements and to get to know the nature of healing through movement. The movements we will demonstrate are based on Thai Hermit Yoga (self-stretching). You will learn about how our movements can improve our physical and mental health, and well-being. Experience life from a new perspective, with realisation and awareness of our bodies. We encourage that the practice should be an integral part of our daily routines as we go through life, rather than a once- or twice-a-week activity.

The course is suitable for everyone. If you are a beginner, however, it's recommended that you attend the Saturday session (Day 1 - Meditation in Us, 12 August 2017) to start to experience the nature of meditation.

Participants should wear loose-fitting clothing to the session.

The ticket price includes a booking fee. Refreshments and snacks will be provided on the day.
