Six Thursday evenings.

This six week course, led by Abhayadevi and Mariangela, will provide a concise overview of the Satipatthana Sutta, copies of which will be provided. The sutta is a guide to awakening, via the four ways of establishing mindfulness – mindfulness of body, feelings, mind and mental objects. There are many contemplations described in the sutta, and we will practise a selection, focusing particularly on those concerned with the body and feelings. Course participants will learn how these contemplations and the framework of the sutta can support their personal meditation practice.

The course is suitable for those who are familiar with the Mindfulness of Breathing and Metta Bhavana practices, and who have their own regular meditation practice.
