What is it?

In this one hour webinar, participants will get to hear specific advice about approaching IP in the MedTech sector and have the opportunity to ask any questions with IP expert Donald Lawrie!

This webinar has been designed to help new business founders and entrepreneurs understand what help they need with intellectual property. Very often early-stage founders don’t fully appreciate the value of IP and that managing your IP properly should be considered from the get-go.

IP protection can be crucial for growth and increasing company value, as well as being a top priority for investors. This webinar will help you prepare your IP action plan.

What can I expect?

This one hour webinar will be split into an explainer session by Donald on what to expect when you're registering IP in the MedTech field followed by the opportunity to ask relevant questions.

This webinar is an opportunity to learn about:

  • How to identify your IP
  • IP ownership
  • Assessing competitor’s IP
  • Protecting your trade marks
  • Prioritising IP actions
  • Confidentiality agreements
  • Preparing an IP budget
  • Selecting an IP firm

Where/when is this taking place?

This webinar will be held on Zoom at 12:00 on Tuesday, 14th of October. It will be recorded with the intention to share on our public YouTube page so that others can benefit from the information and advice given.

This webinar will be hosted by:

  • Dr Donald Lawrie, Director and Patent Attorney at Lawrie IP
