RE: Primary School Games: Medway Primary School Racket Skills Festival for years 3 and 4 either AM session OR PM session

I am writing to invite your school to participate in the Medway Primary Racket Skills Festival (yrs 3 and 4). The Primary Racket Skills Festival will be held at the Avenue Tennis Centre , Featherby Road, Gillingham Kent ME8 6AN on THURSDAY 23rd April 2026 either from 9.30am – 12noon approx. for the AM session OR 12.30pm – 3pm approx. for the PM session. Please note that the times may vary depending on the amount of teams that enter.

The Festival will be aimed at pupils in years 3 and 4. Teams should consist of 6 girls and 6 boys. There will be 3 racket skills areas with 3 skills stations within each sport. There will be student sport leaders and other adult sports coaches/organisers in the 2 indoor sports hall,s to help pupils have an enjoyable coaching session, based around the 3 racket sports of: Mini Tennis, Badminton and Table Tennis.

Spectators/parents are able to attend the Tennis Centre and watch..

I accept that the Howard School Sports Partnership and any other schools, sports clubs, coaches or leaders present at the competition, shall not be responsible for any loss, damage or injury which may be incurred to a person(s) who takes part in any of the activities stated above. I accept that I am fully responsible for the pupils from my school throughout the competition. This includes gaining parental consent, photographic consent and medical information about each of the pupils prior to the competition. I have read the PSG risk assessment. If you wish to take photos at the competition please register your camera on arrival. There will be an official photographer present at the event and photographs from the day may be used for publicity purposes, including use on websites and social media. If any of your pupils cannot be photographed please ensure the event organisers are aware of this at the start of the event, so an illuminous wristband can be issued.
