Cara Patel - A zine on Trans and gender diverse people's contributions to STEM

In response to recent comments about removing "Trans Idiology" out of the sciences, Cara Patel is producing a zine to highlight and uplift the voices of trans and gender diverse people in STEM. The zine will be a collection of personal testimonies, people talking about their work/research, and essays on figures in history, through conducting interviews and taking essay submissions. Each story will be paired with work from a trans and gender diverse artist/photographer. The long-term aim is to make the zine available at PRIDE events, and as a resource for schools and STEM institutions.

CWN is a campus community network that aims to promote positive wellbeing by providing opportunities for those working on the Cornwall campuses to connect with each other and engage in activities to prioritise their mental and emotional health and wellbeing. Come and meet network members and celebrate the Swedish concept of 'Fika'. Fika is more than just a coffee break; it's an inclusive social activity that promotes relaxation and socialising.

Maggie Parks, Inspiring Women Network

Maggie is the Chief Operating Officer of Inspiring Women Network. IWN is a women led initiative which aims to foster meaningful connections by bringing together women from diverse backgrounds creating a supportive network where women can share experiences, build friendships and grow together. IWN inspires women through our empowering workshops, cultural events and advocacy initiatives, encouraging them to embrace their unique potential and pursue their dreams with confidence.

Transparent Presence CIC

Transparent Presence specialises in the support, awareness and celebration around gender diversity and holds numerous initiatives across Cornwall for both adults and children. These include LGBTQ+ inclusive choirs, well being events, creative projects, training delivery, ally business scheme and social support groups. Our motto is ''Living Truth Building Strength''.
