Fantasy powerhouses Cassandra Clare and Holly Black join us for an unmissable book signing for their new books, The Ragpicker King and Thief of Night.
The Ragpicker King is the second sweeping instalment in Cassandra Clare’s bestselling Chronicles of Castellane, which finds Kel seeking information about the royal massacre from a notorious criminal, whilst Lin reckons with a powerful ruler set to test her supposed powers as a goddess.
Thief of Night is the eagerly anticipated sequel to Holly Black's bestselling adult debut The Book of Night; this spellbinding story finds the luckless Charlie Hall in even greater peril in a dangerous world.Each ticket entitles the ticketholder to one copy of the selected author's new release, available for collection on the day, and a place in that author's signing queue. Customers who wish to meet both authors will need to purchase one of each ticket type.

- To avoid disappointment, we must stress there will be no opportunity to meet Holly or Cassandra without a ticket.
- Due to time limitations, Cassandra and Holly will sign up to two books per ticketholder, with one of these being their new title included in the ticket (ie. The Ragpicker King or Thief of Night).
- There will be queueing required before you meet the author and the queue will be formed on a first come first served basis, with priority given to those who require accessibility support.
- Please be prepared to queue and, if you need to, make sure you bring plenty of water and snacks in case you are queuing for a long time.
- Ticketholders must be present at the event to receive their signed copy of the book. If you are unable to attend, please contact events@waterstones.com.
