Meet crime fiction author S P Caldwell followed by fish and chip supper

Wigan-based author SP Caldwell will take us through the locations in Wigan and the surrounding areas which feature in his crime thrillers The Beast of Bethulia Park (Gracewing 2022) and Lady Mabel’s Gold (Gracewing 2025).

Caldwell will talk about his scenes at such famous places as Wigan Pier and Haydock Racecourse in The Beast of Bethulia Park, and Haigh Woodland Park and Wigan Parish Church in Lady Mabel’s Gold. He will also reveal other Wigan locations which went unnamed in his stories but which provided the settings for some of the action.
