Alice CHAN Yuen Shan is an award-winning bilingual writer with a First-Class BA in English from CUHK and the University of Sheffield. Her debut short story collection Fool the Wood won the Hong Kong Biennial Awards for Chinese Literature, followed by Image of Lung, written during her time in South Korea. Her latest novels, City on Stage and Anatomy of Light, explore themes from social illness to spiritual rediscovery, often blending magical realism with autofiction. A winner of the New Taipei City Literature Awards, Alice publishes widely in journals like Hong Kong Literary and Ming Pao. She currently lives and writes between the UK and Hong Kong.

陳苑珊為2012年香港中文大學和英國雪菲爾大學英文系一級榮譽學士。她先以英文寫作長篇小說，其後改以中文創作。首部著作《愚木——短篇小說集》獲2017年香港中文文學雙年獎。她曾經旅居南韓，並於當地寫成《肺像——短篇小說集》。2022年她分別於台灣和香港出版最新長篇小說《演藝之城》和《光的解剖學》。陳苑珊的作品揭示社會弊病、人性歪相和畸形常態，並牽涉精神啟蒙、感官詮釋和回憶重塑，既回應廣大世界，也指向個人自我。她樂於以現實魔幻主義粉飾作品，也沉醉在目前寫作自傳小說的痛苦中。她的作品散見於《香港文學》和《明報》等刊物，亦曾獲台灣新北市文學獎。陳苑珊現為中英雙語作家，居於英國和香港。

This novel allows us to experience the breadth of life and its twists and turns of depth.Yacht captains, hairstylists, travel salesmen, maintenance technicians, painters, radiologists, university students, food truck vendors, bakers...These characters, trapped in their own circumstances, are also captured in each of the writer's "lung images," their hearts and their zest subtly revealed.
