About this event

Frequently asked questions

What should I expect?

Visual artist Coltart Sithole (col_shots) presents an introduction to his latest photographic exhibition, Perspective Over Perception, which explores and challenges how we view African peoples and cultures. This is your chance both to chat with the artist and explore the exhibition.

Where and when will the artist's talk take place?

Gather in the Library café area for a guided tour of the exhibition starting at 1 pm, followed by a short, live presentation about the exhibition and Q&A (question and answer) session with the artist starting at 1.30 pm.

Can I arrive early?

Yes, the Library will be open from 8 am and you are welcome to arrive whenever suits you best. Our friendly Library team will be happy to tell you where the exhibition is displayed, if you would like to take a self-guided tour before or after the main event.

Is the Library an accessible venue?

Yes. We work hard to make the Library as accessible as possible. All areas of the exhibition can be accessed both by lift and stairs and all doors are automatic. You can find out more on AccessAble: https://www.accessable.co.uk/university-of-portsmouth/access-guides/university-library
