Unfinished Business: The Fight for Women’s Rights exhibition opens at the British Library on the 23rd October 2020. As part of the Living Knowledge Network and inspired by those who paved the way. Suffolk Libraries will be inviting discussion about battles not yet won and welcoming a slice of this exhibition to Ipswich and Lowestoft, responding to the history of equality through online events and activities.
On the 4th November we welcome Helen Lewis to speak about her book Difficult Women: A History of Feminism in 11 Fights
Helen Lewis is a staff writer at the Atlantic magazine and presenter of BBC Radio 4’s The Spark. Her first book, Difficult Women: A History of Feminism in 11 Fights, is out now.
The Living Knowledge Network is a UK-wide partnership of national and public libraries, founded by the British Library in conjunction with the National Library of Scotland and the National Library of Wales. The only network of its kind in the UK, it aims to promote the exchange of knowledge and develop memorable experiences for library users.
This event is part of a nationwide programme taking place simultaneously in 25 library authorities across the UK as part of the network, generously supported by the Helen Hamlyn Trust.
