About the speaker:

Megan Eaves is Lonely Planet's North Asia Destination Editor and she has worked as a Lonely Planet author on guidebooks to China and South Korea. She most recently spent a month researching Gansu province along the Silk Road, walking the inner kora at Labrang Monastery, seeing the western end of the Han dynasty Great Wall and racking up a very nice collection of photos with giant Buddhas. Megan studied Mandarin at the University of New Mexico and has a Masters degree in Intercultural Studies from Dublin City University in Ireland. Originally from New Mexico, she has lived in Zhejiang province and Prague, and is now based in Lonely Planet's London office.
