Meet the Bàrd: in conversation with Eliza Clark
Overview
Just in time for Christmas (who doesn’t need something dark to unwrap under the twinkly lights of a fir tree), Faber are releasing special, limited edition Indie Exclusive hardbacks and we are hosting Eliza in conversation with our own Barry Pierce to discuss her writing.
A constant bestselling author since we opened Bàrd in 2024, Eliza is a shop-fave with all our bookselling team. From her incendiary debut ‘Boy Parts’ - a pitch-black comedy both shocking and hilarious, fearlessly exploring the taboos of sexuality and gender roles in the twenty-first century; through to ‘Penance’ the chilling compulsive story of a murder among teenagers, on the eve of the historic Brexit vote. And then her most recent collection of short stories ‘She’s Always Hungry’ - darkly funny, playful and transgressive, spanning different genres, times and places.
