Event description

Description

Spend the day with the Norton Priory Beekeepers. Visit our Apiary to find out how we look after the bees and what is involved. Discover how we make our beekeeping activities sustainable by using the honey and wax at Norton Priory and have a go making your own beeswax candle.

Get a chance to taste our amazing honey!

Your day will also include an opportunity to explore the Walled Garden with World Museum Liverpool's Curator of Etymology Tony Parker. You will find out about all of the pollinators and garden bees we have on site and how we care for them. You will make a mini bee hotel to take home.

All beekeeping suits and materials are provided but you must bring wellington boots for your visit to the Apiary. Please let us know of any relevant allergies. Teas and Coffees provided but not lunch. We have a lovely Cafe and Tea rooms open on site, or you could bring a packed lunch.
