Meet the experts from Kuwait, Qatar, United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, and hear about the export opportunities that await your business.
In partnership with the East Midlands Chamber, we invite you to join us in Leicester at the Friars Mill site as part of our extremely popular series of one-to-one business development visits.
Why you should consider the Gulf States
With a single language and common culture, Gulf Nationals love UK brands, and the demand for British goods and services is high. But each region requires an individual approach, with common themes for exporters to consider. This event is an excellent opportunity for new and existing exporters to discuss the business opportunities that currently exist across the Gulf, and to answer any questions you may have on topics such as market access and business climate.
What opportunities exist in the Gulf States?
Oil & Gas
Keenest on new technologies and niche products/services, large fiscal cushions are in place despite recent price drops.
With rapid infrastructure developments and large spends, there are many opportunities. Key global events include Dubai EXPO 2020 and Qatar World Cup 2022.
Projects abound including metro systems, rail networks, roads, ports and airports, but also wider traffic planning systems, such as software infrastructure etc.
Education & Training
This is a priority across the entire region.
Demand continues to grow, with an increasing population and an appetite for local, high quality healthcare.
Instability across the region and the growing risk of new threats are driving strong demand across all aspects of security.
Many well-known UK brands are already there but there is room for many more. As stated previously, Gulf Nationals love UK brands.
