This event is part of our programme of Meet the Experts events, providing the opportunity for members to speak directly with government and sector bodies in Chatham House discussions to enhance mutual understanding. The sessions will also include updates on policy and practice from both the organisation and members.
Meet the Experts: UCAS
UCAS is the most frequently used method of connecting students to potential higher education institutions. It allows students to gain insight into which course or institution may be right for them, and makes the process of application streamlined and easy. For institutions who feature on the UCAS website, students have immediate access to information about who you are and what you do, making it far easier for them to find you.
This event will be a learning opportunity for both Independent HE members and UCAS. It is a chance for members to get to know how to utilise the many benefits of UCAS, as well as learning how to get their institution onto the UCAS website. It is also a chance for UCAS to learn more about the alternative provider sector and the sector's needs in an open, honest and confidential discussion.
This session is suitable for:
Members of staff involved with applications, registration, marketing, media and more.
Andy Frampton - Relationship and National Engagement Manager
Carys Fisher - Policy Executive
Lauren Cooper - Account Manager
Key topics the session will cover:
- The upcoming changes across the UCAS systems, including a major programme of development
- The current data policy landscape and what it means for UCAS
- Technical and practical issues for UCAS users
- We’re also hoping that a member of the student-facing team will attend to hear about our members and the different programmes they offer
The session will be run as a forum of mutual understanding. There will be both time for members to get their voices heard, as well as time to ask questions and listen to the UCAS team.
This free event is for Independent Higher Education members only. To book your ticket please click 'Tickets' above and enter your institution's membership number when prompted to ENTER CODE. You will then be sent a confirmation email.
