About this event

  • 1 hour

Our Meet the Funder webinars are open to voluntary and community groups and organisations in Wiltshire and Swindon.

At this event we will be joined by Vicky Oram-Ahern, Grants Manager from the National Benevolent Charity, who will provide an overview of the application process and key priorities

The National Benevolent Charity's mission is to provide financial support to people experiencing poverty to help them in a time of crisis. They have a long history of providing financial support to individuals experiencing poverty through their Welfare Fund. In 2019, they began making grants to organisations and have now formally expanded their funding into Wiltshire and Swindon.

Their aim is to make grants to a wide range of organisations that can demonstrate their beneficiaries are experiencing poverty (or hardship) and that their project, programme, or organisation aims to alleviate that poverty. The funded work needs to be taking place in Wiltshire or Swindon. Unrestricted grants of up to £10,000 per organisation per year are available and they are open to single or multi-year funding and in exceptional circumstances interim funding.

Wiltshire Community Foundation will give an update on our current grant programmes. There will be time for questions and answers as well as informal networking.

Organised by

Wiltshire Community Foundation is an independent and largest grant giving charity in Wiltshire and Swindon. We exist to tackle disadvantage and strengthen local communities by inspiring philanthropy and supporting the voluntary sector. Our mission is to maximise the impact of charitable activity by connecting people, information and resources.

Each year we award over £1million through hundreds of grants to enable more local people to thrive. Our grants to grassroots voluntary and community groups ensure funding is targeted where it is needed most, tackling the most pressing local issues and building stronger communities. Through our individual grants programme we give grants to young people to help improve their development, education and future employment.

We also provide a range of events, training workshops and advice sessions for the voluntary and community sector helping to build skills, capacity, knowledge and networks.
