How can we ensure government policies and decisions are informed by the best scientific evidence? What are barriers to doing this effectively - and what opportunities are being missed? The Government Office for Science (GO-Science) acts as a transmission mechanism between experts and policymakers. As part of its role in catalysing and supporting engagement, it is holding a special session for University researchers – with a particular focus on early and mid-career researchers across all disciplines. This is a chance to hear from and question senior figures from GO-Science, as well as those who have advised government.
