Struan Apiaries will be coming to Culloden Battlefield and Visitor Centre to chat to you about the process and inspiration behind their delicious flavours. Come along to get a taste of Struan Apiaries honeys!
The Struan Apiaries family keep millions of happy bees which they take to forage for nectar across the heather-clad moors of the Cairngorms National Park in the late summer, and wild flower carpeted hills and glens in spring.
Their busy bees produce around 15 tons of premium Highland heather and blossom honey for them to harvest from their 500 hives each year.
Heather honey, in particular, is a unique and special crop that is prized for its delicious flavour, texture and, above all, its value as a nutrient-rich “superfood”.
Struan Apiaries will be at the Visitor Centre from 10am-3pm.
No ticket required to meet the Struan Apiaries team.
