Meet the Maker - Swedish Stockings
Event Information
Description
As part of our current capsule collection NAKED: A TRANSPARENT JOURNEY IN FASHION, we want to give you the chance to meet the brains behind the brand Swedish Stockings, one of the brands featured within the collection.
Swedish Stockings is championing in transparency to change the way hoisery is worn, made and reused. Usually worn only a few times before they wear out – Swedish Stockings are instead made to last, using recycled nylon from factory offcuts and fishing nets. Their production process is a lot less harmful to the environment than traditional nylon production and they are always looking for innovative and cleaner ways to produce - conserving or reusing water, decreasing emissions, reducing and recycling waste. Swedish Stockings also runs a recycling programme so that you can send any brand of stockings back to them to be recycled to keep them out of landfill.
Join us on May 3rd at 18:00 to hear from co-founder Linn Frisinger who will be sharing insights into their supply chain and production process. This session is your chance to ask #whomademyclothes, as well as any other questions you have about how Swedish Stockings is embedding traceability and transparency into the way they do business.
And if you have any stockings or hoisery (any brand) that are worn out and you no longer wear, please bring them with you as we are currently a free stocking recycling drop off point!
