Meet the Maker: Arbikie Distillery at Rarity Bottle Shop📍 Rarity Bottle Shop, Bonnie & Wild📅 Monday, 18th August | 12pm – 5pm
Join us at Rarity Bottle Shop for an exclusive Meet the Maker event with Arbikie Distillery—one of Scotland’s most pioneering and sustainable spirits producers. This is a unique opportunity to explore a truly field-to-bottle distillery that’s redefining what it means to craft spirits with purpose and provenance.
Located on the scenic east coast of Scotland in Angus, Arbikie is a family-owned farm distillery that grows all of its own ingredients on-site—from the barley, rye, and wheat used in their whiskies and vodkas to the botanicals featured in their award-winning gins. The Stirling family, who own and operate the distillery, bring generations of farming heritage together with innovative distilling techniques to create spirits that are both world-class and environmentally conscious.
Arbikie is celebrated not just for the quality of its spirits but also for its bold commitment to sustainability. It’s one of the world’s first carbon-neutral distilleries, leading the charge in eco-friendly spirits production and championing regenerative agriculture. Their range includes Nàdar Gin and Nàdar Vodka—groundbreaking spirits made from peas, which actually have a negative carbon footprint—as well as a growing selection of premium Highland rye and single malt whiskies.
During this special tasting, attendees will have the chance to:
- Sample a curated range of Arbikie spirits, including gins, vodkas, and whiskies including:
- Highland Rye Francis Boag Artist Edition: A Limited Edition Rye Whisky that has been aged in Calvados after some maturation in Bourbon casks. The Calvados influence leaves apple tasting notes as well as the usual Rye whisky tasting notes of gingerbread and black pepper.
- 1794 Highland Rye 2021 Release: A version of the Highland Rye with no further maturation after some maturation in new charred American oak. This showcases the true Arbikie Rye spirit.
- Nàdar Gin and Vodka: Climate-Positive spirits with the emphasis on sustainability and innovation.
- Learn about Arbikie’s farm-to-bottle philosophy and its pioneering approach to sustainable distilling
- Chat with an Arbikie brand representative and get deeper insight into how their spirits are made, what sets them apart, and what’s next for this boundary-pushing distillery.
Whether you're a spirit enthusiast, sustainability advocate, or just curious to try something new, this is a rare opportunity to engage with a producer that is truly reshaping Scotland’s distilling landscape.
