Event description

Description

CIPR NI strives to create great working relationships between our members and the media. As the media landscape changes, so to does the type of media we work with. In the first of an ongoing networking series, CIPR NI’s ‘Meet the New Media’ event will introduce you to the developing digital media source of online bloggers and influencers, who are now an active, integral part of the marketing mix.

Our first event will introduce guests to an invited panel of online bloggers and influencers, including Tiffany Brien, Sisters & Sons, GastroGays and Dil Takes Photos. Each panellist will present on their platforms, background and relationship with the public relations industry, discussing challenges, observations and future hopes.

Also presenting will be two active public relations professionals who frequently work with this media source, Cathy Martin and Suzie McDonald. After the presentations, there will be a Q&A session between the audience and panellists. Guests can submit questions anonymously beforehand by emailing ‘clare@asgandpartners.com’, or wait to ask them on the evening.

The aim of this event is to improve working relationships between the public relations and blogger/influencer communities, increase transparency and encourage networking. There will be a half-hour networking reception before the event begins, which will include a complimentary welcome beverage and canapes.

It is intended that this will be the first in an ongoing series of ‘Meet the New Media’ events.
