Meet the Producer Live with Nick Angell

If you haven't heard of him, you should do your homework and learn your VO history.

Back again for another round of Meet the Producer, we are joined by industry legend, Nick Angell.

It's one thing to direct yourself and submit your audio to the client, it's completely different when you're in a live directed session. 'Meet the Producer' recreates (as closely as possible) the environment of a live directed session.

Try out your VO skills in our live directed session practice! Whether you're watching and learning or having a go yourself, this is your opportunity to experience live direction a professional, working producer. For those of you with experience being directed, it’s always helpful to work with producers you don’t know!

Had a go in one of our previous Meet the Producer events? Test your skills for a second time! If you're worried about being on camera in front of people? Don't be! You can turn your camera off when you're being directed. It's all about what we can hear. And for anyone not reading, this is a fantastic opportunity to listen and learn!

How does it work?

There are 6 reader tickets available - readers will be sent a script before the session (around 30 minutes before hand - you won't have that much time to prepare, this is intentional!). Readers will take it in turns to be directed by the producer. You have the option to turn your camera off if you want to!

General admission - you will be observing the session. Learning the language and jargon producers use and learning from the readers!

Although you will be heard by everyone on the call, this is a safe and supportive environment! This event will test your ability to hold your never, interpret copy, take direction without the fear of being blacklisted or losing a client.

There will be no refunds available, however, the event will be recorded and if you cannot attend, you will receive the recording.
