Join the Wolfson Centre team as they introduce the new research facility focused on improving young people's mental health to the world.

The Wolfson Centre for Young People's Mental Health opened in October 2020 at Cardiff University and aims to achieve transformational change in the way the challenges of adolescent mental health are understood and how they are addressed. The ambition is a step-change in scientific discoveries over the next five years that will rapidly inform policy and practice, and act as a catalyst in the field of youth anxiety and depression.The Wolfson Centre online event will mark the year anniversary of the Centre’s opening and will feature an interactive lecture from Professor Anita Thapar as well as video messages from the Centre's global scientific partners, funders, Welsh Government and young people themselves.

FAQsHow do I access the webinar? Please register through Eventbrite to confirm your place for the event. You will receive the event link and passcode in the confirmation email. Please be aware this email may be in your Junk mail. If it is the day of/day before the event and you don&#x27;t have an email with the joining details yet, please check your spam/ junk folders first to make sure it is in there. If not, then please email wolfsonyoungpeople@cardiff.ac.uk and we will attempt to respond to you with the details before the event starts. Do I need a Zoom account? If this is your first time using Zoom then it is worth joining early so that you can get through set up. You will need an email address to register and then it should only take a couple of minutes. Will the session be interactive? In a Zoom webinar, attendees cannot be seen or heard but the speaker may ask you if you&#x27;d like to interact through the chat and Q&amp;A function. The presentations will also feature some participation through Mentimeter.
