Meet Up & Draw

THE KINGS HALL, CHARLTON KINGS, CHELTENHAM

This short course offers a weekly space where participants can slow their pace, pay close attention, and gain pleasure from the simple craft of drawing.

Rather than prioritising polished final pieces that can be judged on how realistic or ‘good’ they are, the emphasis is on the pleasure gained from the craft of drawing, deep concentration, purposeful activity and the personal reflective experience of making marks with a pencil.

Each session introduces clear foundational skills—line, tone, shape, proportion, texture, composition, and perspective—supported by examples and guided exercises.

No experience is required. All materials are provided, and each session is designed to be structured and accessible for beginners, those looking for a contemplative space or those seeking a quite hour to themselves.
