Meeting Challenges with Compassion
Wed 28 June 2017, 10:00 – 16:00 BST
*This is a series. Please book both ticket dates.*
Meeting challenging situations with compassion, clarity and empowerment: a Professional Development opportunity.
Ministry can sometimes feel a bit like a minefield – wherever you step you encounter sensitivities and delicate situations. It can seem impossible sometimes to find a way forward which doesn’t create costly fallout or breakdown in relationships. When facing these situations would you like to be well resourced emotionally, respond sensitively and find compassion and forgiveness for yourself and others?
This professional development opportunity is designed for people working in Priority Areas. It will offer a safe space to learn tools for inner resilience and empowerment in the face of conflicts, dilemmas and chronically stressful situations. It will also offer a community of practice and support to counteract patterns of isolation in ministry.
The training will be facilitated by Vérène Nicolas and will happen initially through this 2 day workshop, followed by four online practice sessions (duration: 2hrs).
Dates: 28th and 29th June 2017
Time: 10am - 4pm
This work is of a spiritual nature: it helps us walk in Christ’s footsteps and facilitates healing, wholeness and integrity.
Vérène Nicolas has been contracted by the Priority Areas Committee to offer individual support to teams and to facilitate professional development opportunities for ministers and Ministries Council staff. Vérène is an experienced trainer and facilitator. She has been supporting Priority Area teams since 2011.
