Aims of the session
This session aims to enable participants to feel confident using their skills to effectively participate in meetings.
By the end of this session participants will be able to:
Describe the function and structure of meetings
Discuss the responsibilities of the chairperson, secretary and participants
Apply a range of skills in a meeting situation
Participants will consider the reasons that meetings take place, and the different types of meetings there are. Small group work will identify the responsibilities of key people in meetings before a structured meeting simulation takes place. A debrief of the exercise is followed by further consideration of responsibilities before the close of the session.
This workshop is only open to London Met students/staff/graduates. No public admittance.
