Description

Report Launch: Meeting the Needs of the LGBT+ Community in Glasgow: A Review of Services Provided and Identified Needs

You are invited to the launch of this important and timely report. This report is the work of the Glasgow LGBTI+ Voluntary Sector Network.

The Glasgow LGBTI+ Voluntary Sector Network formed in 2016 with the purpose to “use our collective power to challenge inequality and create lasting solutions for LGBTI+ people” by influencing, learning and sharing, building relationships and collaborating. Members of the Network have had longstanding concerns about the historic lack of a strategic approach and of core funding for LGBTI+ organisations in Glasgow. As a result, the Network has commissioned this piece of research to find out what services are currently funded in Glasgow and to map out unmet need.

Please come along to hear our recommendations, contribute your own views, and hear from Glasgow City Council on their own aims for LGBT+ communities living and working in the city.

A vegetarian light lunch will be provided. You are required to advise the organiser of your dietary needs when booking your ticket: lorraine@crer.org.uk, 0141 4186535.

In order that we can meet your access needs, please advise the organiser when booking your ticket: lorraine@crer.org.uk, 0141 4186535.
