Led by Roffey Park, an internationally renowned leadership and research institute based in the UK and Singapore, this interactive workshop will explore how senior leaders in the Events and Hospitality Industry can retain talent through building a Compassionate Culture. The workshop will equip you with practical insights into how to build a workplace culture that supports productivity through people.


Based on Roffey Park’s research with the mia, this one-day workshop aims to give senior leaders new insights and a range of practical tools to enable them to develop a compassionate culture. The workshop will cover:


· Making the business case – how compassion positively affects the bottom line through: productivity gains, strengthening retention capabilities and building loyalty and commitment


· Exploring compassion in the workplace, self-compassion and compassionate leadership - how they fit together and why they are critical for business success


· Identifying practical actions that you can take – what might your organisational culture become more compassionate?

Dr Meysam Poorkavoos:

Meysam is the author of multiple research studies on Compassion and his work has featured in national and international press. He has delivered workshops on building a Compassionate Culture in the Private, Not-for-Profit and Public sectors, including organisations in the Events and Hospitality sector. He is the lead researcher and author of research on Compassion conducted in partnership with the mia and in support of its recent campaign on the issue.
