Meeting your identification duties under the Children and Families Act 2014...
Tue 17 January 2017, 10:00 – 16:00 GMT
Don’t miss this free event providing essential support to local authorities to increase the identification of young carers in their area; a key part of your duty under the Children and Families Act 2014.
We explore the strategies and innovation needed to make it easier than ever for all local authorities to maximise their resources and deliver significant positive outcomes for young carers in their community.
How will the training event achieve these outcomes?
Provide an overview of the duties in The Children and Families Act 2014 and Care Act 2014.
Explore the role of the Young Carers in Schools (YCiS) programme, an England-wide innovation run by Carers Trust and The Children’s Society.
Offer in-depth advice on how you can use YCiS to inform your local strategy and implement sustainable and significant change throughout your local area.
Make tools and resources available on commissioning and good practice in the sector.
Who should come?
This training is open to local authorities across England and is aimed at Commissioners and in-house Young Carers Managers.
As space is limited, places are restricted to two per local authority. If you would like additional staff to attend, please email the Young Carers and Young Adult Carers Team at firstname.lastname@example.org to add their names to the waiting list.
To register simply complete this form on Eventbrite by Tuesday 13th December.
We look forward to seeing you there!
