About this event

Coeliac UK provide many tools and resources for helping you choose the right foods for your dietary needs and this includes a series of workshops developed and hosted by our dietitians.

Our workshops are designed to give you expert information and inspiration so your diet doesn’t feel more restricted than it needs to be and we’ll be starting our series with our popular Calcium and Iron workshop.

Studies have shown that low bone mineral density can affect up to 75% of people at diagnosis with coeliac disease. Calcium is an important mineral for supporting good bone health. We also know that 30- 50% of people with coeliac disease have iron deficiency anaemia at the point of diagnosis, so meeting iron needs is important too.

This workshop aims to help you feel confident that you are getting the calcium and iron you need from your diet.

Attendee feedback:

The workshop was very informative. The presenters covered a range of topics, including specific dietary requirements (vegetarian, vegan etc). I would definitely recommend it to people who have been recently diagnosed or for those looking for a refresher course. Sarah, York

An informative workshop for coeliac's following a gluten free diet. Easy to follow and understand and detailed resources provided to add clarity. Jenny, Derby

Even after 40+ years of being diagnosed as someone with coeliac disease I found this session very useful - there are still things to learn and be reminded about. Ian, Penarth

Organised by

For the last 50 years, Coeliac UK has been the expert on coeliac disease and the gluten free diet. We are an independent charity helping people living without gluten to live happier, healthier lives. We do this by providingtrustworthy advice and support, funding critical research into coeliac disease, working with healthcare professionals to improve diagnosis and fighting for better availability of gluten free food. And we do it all so that one day, no one’s life will be limited by gluten.
