Mega Bite-sized Learning: Build relationships, raise funds and help your charity thrive

Building better relationships with businesses and other partners – for charities and not for profits

An extended version of our Bite-sized Learning sessions, Mega Bite-sized brings you an intense half day training on a topic that is vital to the success of your charity or not for profit organisation – and demands a bit more in-depth time.

This session includes three key sections with each of our industry experts on various aspects of building mutually beneficial relationships and raising funding for charities and not for profit organisations.

Where? The Nightingale Room at Grand Central, 29-30 Surrey St, Brighton BN1 3PA

When? Tuesday 18 July 09:00 - 14:00 including a light lunch

Who is this for? If you’re from a charity or non-profit organisation and your role includes building relationships with others.

How effective is my fundraising strategy?
Janet Omerod – Nahira Consultancy

Using a step by step approach, Janet Omerod, Freelance Funding Advisor, will show you how to evaluate your current fundraising strategy and look at possible alternative sources of funding. You will be able to work on some practical exercises and have the chance to get a peer review of your current practices. She will offer a wide range of processes and tools you can take away including a funding matrix model that assists with evaluating all possible income streams.

How can I use PR to build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships?
Tracey Allen – SEA PR

In this hour-long session, Tracey Allen will share the benefit of her twenty years of experience working in the media and with not for profit organisations to show you how you can use PR to form and maintain the relationships you are looking for. She will show you that PR isn’t just about press releases that may or may not get picked up by the media. It is about building relationships, community engagement and looking after your key stakeholders through properly communicating your message via a variety of channels including social media. This session will give you tips and tactics to do this effectively.

How do I find and maintain business relationships?
Frances Duncan – Freelance CEO, Business Development Leader and Project Developer

As a CEO and a freelancer, Frances Duncan has developed relationships with businesses of all types and sizes, building partnerships that benefit all parties and bringing funding, skills and resources into organisations. In this session, she will show you how you can benefit from a stakeholder plan and give you guidance on how to create one. You will undertake an exercise to help you identify the key stakeholders for your organisation and receive tips on how to get and keep your supporters on board.

Including a delicious lunch and networking opportunities, book now to ensure your charity can go forth and build the kind of mutually beneficial relationships its needs to thrive.
