Course Aims:
MeLSA is a psychological evidence informed approach to supporting the learning needs of pupils, designed for TAs/LSAs or other educational professionals. Trainees learn how to help a child or young person become an independent learner through mediating children’s learning skills in the classroom.
Running between 9.15 -3.30 each day
Day 1: Thursday 29th January 2026 (Introduction, Mediation & Mindset)
Day 2: Thursday 5th February 2026 (Thinking about Thinking)
Day 3: Thursday 12th February 2026 (Memory & Recall)
Day 4: Thursday 26th February 2026 (The Psychology of Learning Maths)
Day 5: Tuesday 12th March 2026 (The Psychology of Learning to Read and Write)
Day 6: Thursday 26th March 2026 (Plenary)
