Event description

Ever feel like you're the last one to find something out? You're not the only one.

The world of health and care constantly talks of integration, yet is increasingly disconnected. From GPs to journalists, professors to policymakers, everyone feels out of the loop.

Melting Pot Lunch is a new way to help. It's a simple concept: we bring together diverse groups from across health and care, to discuss a key issue relevant to a range of different perspectives, all over a good lunch in different locations across London.

Oh and, if you're wondering who 'we' are, we're Kaleidoscope Health & Care, a Community Interest Company set up to bring people together to improve health and care.

Dates for this season:

  • Fri 20 September with Suzanne Shale, independent medical ethics consultant, on the topic of medical ethics. Read more about Suzanne's work here.

  • Thurs 3 October with Corinna Hawkes, Professor of Food Policy and Director of Centre for Food Policy, on the food system. Read more about Corinna's work here.

  • Thurs 17 October with Dr Tom Pierce, Consultant Anaesthetist at University Hospital Southampton and representative of the UK Health Alliance on Climate Change, on medicine, health and the environment. Read more about Tom's work on sustainability here.

  • Thurs 31 October with Jabeer Butt, Chief Executive of Race Equality Foundation, on race and health. Read more about Jabeer and the Foundation here.

We're looking forward to seeing you there!
