Meet Alex Wright

A degree in Architecture, Planning and the Built Environment isn’t usually the starting point for a career in marketing, but Alex first took an interest in communication and human behaviour when studying at The Bartlett School of Architecture at UCL.

Developing an understanding of how and why people moved through urban spaces ultimately led to setting up a marketing agency, Knapton Wright, that works with brands that put people and the planet first. The road from UCL to Knapton Wright included stops at Facebook shortly after it landed in the UK, a leading social media ad agency and the University of Westminster, all of which combined to give Alex a deeper understanding of marketing strategy, working with SMEs and multinational brands alike.

He is proud to hold a volunteer role as media director at Caistor Arts and Heritage Centre and as a trustee of Scunthorpe Tomorrow, and is a vocal advocate for Lincolnshire and the East Midlands as a place to live, work and visit. In 2025, Knapton Wright was the delivery partner for the Lincolnshire and Rutland Tourism Excellence Awards, which were hailed as a resounding success.
