Earlier this year, the UK Government launched the Software Security Code of Practice to strengthen cyber security and resilience across UK supply chains. Developed in partnership with industry, the Code sets clear expectations for software vendors to ensure secure practices throughout the software lifecycle, from design and development to ongoing support.
This ABHI Member Briefing, held in collaboration with the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT), will outline the key principles of the Code and explore its relevance to HealthTech.
Alessandro Colasanti, DSIT’s Policy Advisor for Software Security, will provide an overview of the Code and invite member input on how best to encourage adoption across the sector.
Notably, the NHS has announced that the Code will form part of its voluntary Supplier Charter and Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT), which sets mandatory requirements for organisations accessing patient data.
This session will be particularly valuable for members involved in software development, procurement, digital health, and data security.
