Dear Participant, This Members Network meeting will take place from 1.30-3pm using Zoom. For anyone unable to use Zoom, we will record the presentations which we will share after the meeting. Joining instructions will be sent at a later time. Please note this event is only open to YouthLink Scotland members. However, we are not restricting numbers to one per organisation this time, to allow as many youth workers to attend as would like to. Please note that when you join a YouthLink Scotland event any of the material we share is to be used for the intended purposes only and should not be shared further without appropriate permission. We ask that you share your name and your organisation as part of the booking process. When entering the zoom call, please make sure your name is correct on your zoom account, so we can identify you for security purposes. We reserve the right to remove people from our training sessions if we cannot identify who they are. Please note that we may record the meeting.

Harmful Sexual Behaviour and the Role of the Youth Work Sector

About this event

We are delighted to open bookings for our second Members Network meeting of 2022 to discuss Harmful Sexual Behaviour and the Role of the Youth Work Sector.

At this meeting you will hear from Stop It Now, who will discuss role of youth workers engaging with young people involved, or at risk of being involved in harmful sexual behaviour. Education Scotland will share an overview of the national HSB education sub group and national safeguarding in education network along with plans linked to professional learning linked to HSB. Barnardo’s will be sharing details about the development of a resource focused on initiating conversations with children and young people about sexual abuse.

There will also be time for breakout rooms discussions to share your own experiences and hear from other members.

This Members Network meeting will take place from 11-12.30pm using Zoom. For anyone unable to use Zoom, we will record the presentations which we will share after the meeting.

We do hope that your organisation can join us.

Please note this event is only open to YouthLink Scotland members. However, we are not restricting numbers to one per organisation this time, to allow as many youth workers to attend as would like to.
