Iping and Stedham Common Nature Reserve is situated just west of Midhurst and is one of the best examples of lowland heathland in Sussex. It is a great place to see some of the amazing wildlife that can only be found on this declining habitat. Join us for a gentle stroll around the reserve to discover how it is managed and look out for some of the specialist wildlife that can be present at this time of year.
The walk will be around 1 ½ hours followed by refreshments back at the car park.
Meeting Point: We will meet in the large car park on the Elsted Road just off the A272.

What to bring: Clothes for all weather, sturdy shoes, hat, sun cream, water bottle and binoculars. Refreshments will be provided but please bring your own cup.
Parking and toilets: Parking is free. There is a 2m vehicle height restriction.
There are no toilet facilities on site (nearest public toilets are in Midhurst, North Street, Town centre car park).
Public transport: Stagecoach 92 Midhurst-Petersfield stops on the A272 at Stedham, Iping Lane/ Elsted Road. The car park is a 300m walk south on Elstead road
Accessibility: The paths can be uneven in places and there are some gentle hill climbs. Reasonable fitness is required.
