Welcome to Memento Vivere, an exhibition by Outsider Artist, SLART, presented by Gabriel Fine Arts at the Crypt Gallery. This remarkable crypt now offers the perfect setting where visitors can contemplate our shared fate-Death. The exhibition invites us to slow down and notice what we usually rush past.

Memento Vivere reminds us to pause, breathe, and appreciate being alive. As you explore the art, allow the space to inspire reflection on art, life, the forgotten beauty that is all around us, and the quiet wonders that are hidden in plain sight.

All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Kidney Care UK, in support of their vital work.

Is there parking available at the venue?

Unfortunately, there's no parking at the venue. Public transport is the best way to reach The Crypt Gallery.

What is the significance of the Crypt Gallery?

The Crypt of St Pancras Church, a burial site from 1822-1854, was reborn as an art gallery in 2002. Once a solution to overcrowded graveyards, this popular venue now hosts a year-round programme of art exhibitions, sharing artists' thoughts and emotions with visitors from around the world.

Is The Crypt Gallery wheelchair accessible?

Unfortunately, The Crypt Gallery is not wheelchair accessible. Access to the gallery is via a flight of approximately 12 steps leading down into the space.

Are there any other accessibility challenges I should be aware of?

Yes, please be aware that the floors within The Crypt Gallery are uneven. This is a characteristic of the historic nature of the building. We advise all our guests to be mindful of their step as they explore the space.

Why is the gallery not accessible?

The Crypt Gallery is located within a Grade I listed church. This status places significant restrictions on our ability to make architectural alterations. While we would love to improve accessibility, making the necessary changes would require substantial funding and complex approvals.
