MEMORIES OF MALAYSIA FEAST WITH MANDY YIN
Mandy Yin is one of the few Malaysian chef/entrepreneurs in the UK, having founded Sambal Shiok in London in 2013. She is a Malaysian-born Chinese of Peranakan Nyonya heritage, famed for its fusion cooking combining Chinese and Malay cuisines.
Sambal Shiok started trading at street food markets in 2013. Listening to customer demand led to Mandy narrowing her focus on laksa and starting a pop-up restaurant. Her laksa bar has had sell out runs across London over the last two years and she is working towards opening her first restaurant in 2017.
"I take inspiration from everything I ate in my childhood growing up in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. Then I mix it up and put a new slant on it. My heart and soul is in each dish I create - my mission in life is to introduce as many as possible to the flavours of Malaysia. We take great pride in making all of our spice pastes and sauces in house. Everyone who has tried our food is blown away!" says Mandy.
For six dates only to celebrate London Food Month with the Evening Standard, you are invited to Mandy's Memories of Malaysia Feast for a supper club with Mandy to celebrate the best of her cooking. Enjoy a mouth-watering joyous feast showcasing some of the most popular dishes at her pop up laksa bar including her Assam broth, Hainan chicken and signature king prawn Laksa.
Mandy is honoured to be working with Sourced Market in Marylebone for this event. You will have a choice from a large variety of drinks from Sourced Market on the night.

£35 per person plus £2.76 Eventbrite booking fee

OUR SIGNATURE LAKSA
King prawn laksa made with our inhouse Nyonya laksa spice paste, fried tofu, green beans, bean sprouts, fat rice noodles

Our menu is halal and dairy/nut free. Our menu can be made gluten free with advance notification by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are sorry that we are unable to change this event menu to cater for shrimp allergies, pescatarians, vegetarians or vegans due to time and venue limitations.
Seating will be at communal tables and bar counters.

Drinks will be available for purchase at the event. It is not BYOB.
