Memories of Peace.

Step back in time and explore life in Merton after the Second World War at this 90-minute reminiscence session.

The session will include a film of VE Day celebrations, featuring archive footage and interviews with local people who grew up in the post-war period. You can handle contemporary objects from the Merton Heritage Centre collection and share your own memories, or family stories of the borough’s post-war years.

The session offers a wonderful chance to connect, remember, and reflect on how your local area was rebuilt and thrived in the years following World War II.
