Mencap Training Academy South West London Open Evening
Come and learn about our supported internships and pre-internships for young people with EHCPs, based in Kingston, south west London.
The Mencap Training Academy is hosting an open evening to promote places for the 2026/27 academic year on our supported internship and pre-internship programmes in south west London.
Our programmes are open to young people aged 16-24 who have an EHCP and who want to find a job. Learners must be willington to travel to our site in Kingston 2 days a week, but the programmes is open to young people from other London boroughs.
We help them achieve this by teaching them about the skills and behaviours needed in the workplace during sessions at our classroom located at Parc House Studios near Kingston station. We also support them to complete exciting work experience opportunities with a wide range of employers all over London.
Employers we work with in London include Greene King, Delfont Mackintosh, Hilton, Travis Perkins, Fair Shot Cafe and Sutton Council.
The open evening will provide more information about placements, the difference between supported internships and pre-internships and how to start the enrolment process.
The event will be hosted at our premises in south west London where the teaching element of the programme is delivered. The address is:
Units 3, Parc House Studios
Cowleaze Road
Kingston Upon Thames
KT2 6DZ
The event is open to young people interested in enrolling on a supported internship or pre-internship, as well as their parents/carers and professionals working with young people with SEND. Please sign up using this Eventbrite page to secure your place.
