How do I shorten the sleeves? lengthen my skirt? fix my torn jeans? sew a button on? ... Don't get rid of that item you loved, lets show it some TLC & fix it! Bring your clothes or décor items and learn mending, altering and customising skills and tips which you can use on loads of your other clothes and décor items too. In this 2-hour workshop, we will work with you to plan what you can do and then help you gain the skills to do it. Any skill samples you make can be mounted on the Sewing Tutor portfolio pages you will receive, where you can also sketch your design ideas, construction tips and make further notes. And if your project is going to need more time or input, there are a whole host of dates to choose from.
All the equipment & tools you will need are provided including a sewing machine, and fabric and haberdashery for all skill-samples. If you need any additional fabric or haberdashery, we can plan this with you too and suggest where you can find this locally (& the shop is just down the road!)
Please note - the workshops are on the 2nd floor and unfortunately there is no lift.
