MEND WITH FRIENDS is all about sharing our mending skills and stories with one another, in a relaxed environment. This is not a taught workshop but there will be someone on-hand to share their skills with you. Even if you have never picked up a needle and thread before, we'd love you to come along and learn from the community!
We would love menders and aspiring menders of all ages and abilities to join us, but all young people under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
As the activities involve sharps and small objects, this may not be suitable for very young children to join in (although please know that small children/babies are very welcome to be with us!).
These are drop-in sessions, with basic mending materials and equipment provided.
There is no charge to take part, but to help cover our running costs, Mend With Friends operates on a donate-what-you can basis.
Sometimes people find it tricky to know what to give, so we offer some suggested donations depending on your level of financial privilege:
£5- for waged adults
£3- for low-waged adults / students
FREE for unwaged adults, under-16s, and carers/support workers.
