Menopause and Huntington's disease are both complex. While they are distinct, there are overlapping symptoms and considerations.
Menopause is a natural biological process that marks the end of a woman's reproductive years and is characterised by hormonal changes that can lead to a range of physical and emotional symptoms.Research on the impact of menopause on neurodegenerative conditions is limited, and there is little specifically focused on Huntington’s disease. However, growing attention is being given to menopause, with increased awareness, improved support, and advancements in treatment options.
In this webinar, we will explore the symptoms experienced during the various stages of menopause, discuss available treatments, and highlight lifestyle changes that can help manage many of these symptoms. We will explore how the menopause may influence and relate to symptoms of Huntington’s disease.
Join us as Anne Filson, Advisory Service Team Leader from the Huntington's Disease Association, discusses this important topic.
