Kathleen Riach is Professor at Adam Smith Business School, University of Glasgow and an international expert in gender and ageing at work.
About this event
Her pioneering research on menopause at work led to the first Australian-based online support for line managers (www.menopauseatwork.org), a free and open access toolkit to support menopausal transition in the workplace that has been downloaded over 10,000 times worldwide and has led to invitations to speak across Europe, Australia and the US. Recognising the power that organizations and managers have to support women’s mid-later life careers, she is currently working on an intervention-based study with corporate partners exploring inclusive menopause support and a National research council funded project on successfully promoting Women’s leadership in the healthcare sector. As well as serving on the editorial board of several world-leading journals in her field, her work also spans business education and community engagement, and she was recently named Imaginative Educator of the Year by the Scottish Institute for Enterprise for her work on an intergenerational mentoring scheme, DigiGallus Connect.
