About this event
For: All Leicestershire Registered Early Years Providers.
Live Training date: Wednesday 5 November 2025 - 9.30am - 12.30pm
Course aims and objectives:
The menopause is a natural life-stage which some people sail through but for others, it's not always an easy transition. With the right support, it can be much better. A recent report for the Government Equalities Office demonstrates the importance of talking about menopause openly and supporting people progressing onto the next chapter of their lives. As important as it is to be open about these issues, research also shows that the majority of women are unwilling to discuss menopause related health problems with their line managers, or ask for the support or adjustments that they need.
At the end of the event participants will:
• Understand what the menopause is and how it can impact on individuals.
• Recognise all stages of menopause and its symptoms
• Practical and effective solutions to help support and manage menopause at work.
• Understand what reasonable adjustments might look like
• Understand how employment law supports the menopause
• Have a list of useful resources and books that are available.
• Have some top tips for helping with menopause symptoms including preparation for GP appointments and how to speak to your line manager
• Have an understanding of the kinds of support available.
Due to a high volume of ticket holders not attending we have now implemented a refundable £10 event booking fee. If you attend the event we will return the £10 you paid at the point of booking. Unfortunately if you do not attend you will forfeit the £10.
